I love
to visit schools, children’s museums and libraries. I share the
books I have illustrated with the children, we read them and sometimes
we sing together. I tell the children all about the process of making a
book. Then they make their own illustrations. If we can have more days
together, I help the children to create their own books. They write
their own stories, draw a story board and then work on the final
artwork. It requires patience but it is fun and it’s very
rewarding. Children are always proud to be authors and illustrators. My
most recent and one of the most satisfying experiences has been working with children in Guatemala.

… I believe on of the most important
things we can do for the children we teach is to expose them to
“hands on experience”and
“real people”. Ms Vojtech is one
of these “real people”… Ellie Seely,
